Dear Members,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecting on the progress made over the past several months, I am excited to share some updates and developments within the Alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our vibrant Member Group China hosted a bustling Matter Open Day and Developer Conference<\/a> in Guangzhou. I had the privilege of joining Alliance President and CEO Tobin Richardson in engaging with hundreds of developers and representatives from over 55 companies. The creativity and technical excellence on display, ranging from polished end products to inventive new use cases, were truly inspiring. Companies around the world are embracing Matter to deliver the next generation of smart home solutions. I also extend a sincere thank you to our sponsors<\/a> who helped make this event an overwhelming success!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In June, I visited the Alliance Interop Lab in Portland, Oregon. It was thrilling to see how the lab\u2019s rigorous testing processes are strengthening Matter quality and the end-user experience. The Works With programs of Apple, Google, Amazon, and Samsung SmartThings<\/a> all now accept Alliance Interop Lab test results as part of their own programs, a clear testament to the value and trust the Alliance brings to the ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most recently, I had the privilege of attending IFA in Berlin, where more than 45 of our Members proudly showcased their latest smart home innovations. It was inspiring to see how our shared work is driving interoperability, advancing the connected home, and shaping the next era of everyday living. While in Berlin, Alliance leadership also had meaningful conversations with fellow industry leaders, exchanging ideas on how collaboration through Matter can help make smart homes more sustainable and accessible for people everywhere. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, these gatherings in North America, China, and Europe not only underscore the Alliance\u2019s truly global reach but also demonstrate our mission to support Members worldwide as they drive innovation and collaboration across the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building on this momentum, we were pleased to welcome Bosch to the Alliance Board of Directors<\/a>, reinforcing our commitment to advancing the future of connectivity. Their extensive, hands-on industry experience will be invaluable in strengthening our efforts to deliver reliable, scalable interoperability across the IoT. Adding Bosch to the Board marks an exciting step toward realizing our shared vision of a brighter, more seamless future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the technical front, in August, we announced Matter 1.4.2<\/a>. This release further strengthens the foundation of the Matter standard with meaningful enhancements that prioritize security, simplify certification, improve infrastructure, and create smoother, more reliable experiences for users. Matter 1.4.2 reflects not only industry best practices, but also the valuable lessons we\u2019ve gained together from real-world products already in homes today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to express my deepest gratitude to each of you, our Members, for your ongoing commitment and contributions. Your active involvement and support are what make these achievements possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
